Parker Coye wins State Science Fair and 3rd Physics place International!

Parker Coye, a high school senior collaborating in our group has won First Place in Physics at the Florida State Science Fair in 2016! The highest recognition a k-12 student receives in Physics at the state level in Florida.

Tyler Townsend wins the Town & Gown Scholarship!

Moderate positive spin Hall angle in uranium

We report measurements of spin pumping and the inverse spin Hall effect in Permalloy/Uranium bilayers in order to study the efficiency of spin-charge interconversion in a super-heavy element (recently published in Applied Physics Letters)
